Finds callouts in a PDF drawing set that point to a detail or a sheet that doesn't exist. Demo on a public bid set, 1:51.

On the test set

• Rialto Square Theatre restroom renovation (Joliet, IL), DLR Group, issued for bid and permit 07/27/2022. Nine sheets from the architectural volume.
• 30 of 30 callout references found, no extras, against labels made by eye for every callout in the set.
• One finding: section callout 2 / A-500 on A501 points to a sheet that isn't in the set or its sheet index. Detail 2 on A501 is the countertop section, so it may be a typo for 2/A501.
• With one detail title removed on purpose, it flags all three callouts that pointed to it.

How it works

• Python and PyMuPDF, rules only. Sheet numbers come from title blocks and the cover sheet index.
• Callouts are vector circles holding exactly one sheet number. Detail numbers sit inside the bubble or at the arrow tips of elevation markers.
• Writes an HTML report with evidence crops, a marked-up PDF and a CSV.
• Needs selectable text. Scanned sets and type tags aren't covered yet.
